Vinyl repair:

1. With a gray scuff pad, clean the area with SEM Soap. Wipe with a clean, damp towel and dry.

2. Next, apply Vinyl Prep or Zero VOC Surface Cleaner. Wipe with a clean, damp towel and dry.

3. If needed, trim away any cracked edges with a razor blade. Sand around the repair area with 400 or 600 grit paper.

4. Blow off and clean again with Vinyl Prep or Zero VOC Surface Cleaner.

APPLICATION:

Apply a thin layer of Leather & Vinyl Repair Compound to the backing fabric, place into position and heat around the edges and press lightly with a cold block. Next, apply Leather & Vinyl Repair Compound over the repair area. Note: Applying several thin layers of Leather & Vinyl Repair Compound will produce a better repair than one thick application. A thick application will not cure properly. Using a heat gun, hold the gun 6 to 8 inches away for 1 minute or until the compound turns clear. Heat gun tip must be moved constantly over the repair area to prevent substrate damage. A cone shaped nozzle for the heat gun will help focus the heat on the repair area. On the final application, place one of the Interior Graining Pads over the repair area and apply pressure to the area with a cold block. Sand down any high areas or refill the repair area if needed. Once complete, the repair may be top coated. Use Color Coat or Sure-Coat for vinyl repairs; Classic Coat or Sure-Coat for leather repairs.

STORAGE:

Leather & Vinyl Repair Compound should be stored in a cool dry place with adequate ventilation away from heat, sparks and flames.

The shelf life for Leather & Vinyl Repair Compound is 5 years when stored under normal conditions.
